Journey to the deep Web or Dark Web – Beware and Aware

In Short: The Dark Web is a term that refers specifically to a collection of websites that are publicly visible but hide the IP addresses of the servers that run them. Thus they can be visited by any web user, but it is very difficult to work out who is behind the sites. And you cannot find these sites using search engines.

We can’t see the underground of the internet which holds lots of information and other services. We can’t even access such things. We are watching the world of internet with only eyes. But if we want to see the other world we need a third eye. Now, we are accessing the 4% of the Internet.
We can classify the Internet 2 types
1. Surface Web
2. Deep Web
Surface Web is 4% of the Internet. We can access them with various search engines like Yahoo, Google, Bing…etc. And It is under the surveillance of the Government.
The deep web is 96% of the whole internet. We can’t get a path to there from our Surface web. The Contents never get by Search engines. It is estimated to be the 500X size of the surface web.

How to access the deep web?

In the surface web, we are using search engines. Then it will go to the HTTP and HTTPS protocols. We can access data directly. This approach the Information providers can track the exact location of us and get details about us like accessing time and others.
But Information on the deep web cannot be accessed directly. The data is not stored in the single page. It stored in various databases. Therefore it is very difficult to get access to search engines. Files are shared with any number of computers connected to the internet which holds the information we need. This is called peer to peer network. Sharing encrypted data makes it difficult to your location and the kind of information you access to be tracked or monitored.
In order to access the web, we need a dedicated browser. We can use TOR(The Onion Router), it is the commonly used browser. Other options are available like 12P and Freenet.
Main users of Deep Web
• Military- They need to pass information..etc
• Police – Tracking details
• Journalists – Getting more secret information
• Whistleblowers – Edward Snowden, Julian Assange
We are all anonymous in the Dark web while using TOR Browser. Due to this deep web become a nesting ground for criminal activity. Such activities like
• Drugs
• Child Pornography
• Weapons Trading
• Hit Men for Hire
There is a lot of groups in here to provide such activities. There is no legitimate proof of their existence.

Technically, this is not a difficult process to enter dark web. You simply need to install and use Tor. Go to Anonymity Online and download the Tor Browser Bundle, which contains all the required tools. Run the downloaded file, choose an extraction location, then open the folder and click Start Tor Browser. That’s it. The Vidalia Control Panel will automatically handle the randomized network setup and, when Tor is ready, the browser will open; just close it again to disconnect from the network.

Depending on what you intend to do on the Dark Web, some users recommend placing tape over your laptop’s webcam to prevent prying eyes watching you. A tinfoil hat is also an option.

Bitcoin – The Currency in Deep Web

It is a virtual currency that makes use of the encrypted peer to peer network. It allows us to perform business transactions anonymously. Bitcoin Developed by Satoshi Nakamoto.
